Presumably composed in 1717 for the court of Neuburg on the Danube, this Italian cantata contains a virtuoso recorder part. Greber, who studied in Italy, was active after 1703 as an opera composer in London, and, following his return to the continent, in Innsbruck, Neuburg, and Heidelberg.
