product description
Graun WV C:XV:79 for two violins and basso continuo, edited with a figured bass realization by Klaus Hofmann. This trio, edited in a strongly Romantic style, was first published in 1906 by Hugo Riemann at Breitkopf & Härtel. This outstanding work, which was also copied and performed by Johann Sebastian Bach, is now available in a critical new edition based on the Pisendel manuscript. Since the autograph was lost in the war, the approximations to the original, also using other copies, are documented in the critical report. A forgotten jewel of the Berlin School.
