free after Ludwig van Beethoven's op. 132, for solo violin and string orchestra (Durata: 6’). Noah Bendix-Balgley, 1st concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, recommend this piece: „Sebastian Gürtler has reimagined the finale of Beethoven’s Opus 132 as a swinging Musette. Other Beethoven works make passing appearances as quotes in the score. At the climax of the work, Gürtler portrays Beethoven’s hearing loss in evocative musical fashion, with unusual instrumental colors. The work concludes with an exciting virtuosic dash to the finish line.“ A set of parts is available as hire material. The piece is also available in a version for string quartet (EW1173).
