for flauto d’amore (alto transverse flute, transverse flute with B♭ foot), viola and guitar, published as a first edition by Peter Thalheimer. Gänsbacher was born in Sterzing, South Tyrol, and served as cathedral music director at St Stephen’s in Vienna. Both pieces are preserved as autographs in the Austrian National Library in Vienna and may have been composed in 1812 in connection with the Guitar Serenades, Op. 12 and 14. NotaBene
