Performing Vivaldi’s orchestral works on two harpsichords suddenly sheds another light on them. More stereo and solo-tutti effects, and thus many more nuances become possible without detriment to the solo instrument’s expressivity. Bach’s arrangements served as our models and provided valuable impulses.
