product description

for viola da gamba & basso, first edition, edited by Thomas Fritzsch and Günter von Zadow, Ledenburg Collection. These two solo sonatas are contemporary transcriptions of flute sonatas that work very well on the viola da gamba. The composer of the first sonata, the Spaniard Juan Bautista Pla, was an oboe virtuoso famous throughout Europe in the middle of the eighteenth century. The Ledenburg Collection in Osnabrück was only discovered in 2015. It primarily contains viol music from the time around 1750. Edition Güntersberg
