for cello solo, 2 violins, viola & b. c., first modern edition by Markus Möllenbeck with a piano reduction by Ulrich Lüdering. Hasse's four-movement work (duration 15') is an early composition from around 1725 that features a plangent Largo (third movement) and an expansive Fugue. Hasse was renowned throughout Europe as an opera composer, and this edition sheds special light on the not very extensive instrumental works. Series Il Violoncello concertato
