Kapsperger, Giovanni Girolamo (1580-1651): I Pastori di Bettelemme (Die Hirten von Bethlehem)

Christmas oratorio for six voices (choir ad lib.), 2 instruments (recorder/cornetti/violins) & b. c., Roma 1630, edited by Michael Dücker. The pastoral play (duration 40'') tells the nativity story after Luke the Evangelist, and shows Kapsperger at the height of his artistry. Christmas series In Dulci Jubilo
