Sacred concert for soprano, alto recorder (transverse flute), 2 violins, viola & b. c., edited by Klaus Hofmann. The Silesia-native Tobias Volckmar, a contemporary of Bach, wrote three very beautiful sacred concertos with flute that are based on verses from the Bible and today preserved in the Saxon State Library in Dresden. This concerto is intended for Lent.
