product description

for treble recorder, oboe, violin, harpsichord and violoncello (viola da gamba) after the concerto E major TWV 53:E1, arranged by Klaus Hofmann. In the concerto’s two fast movements, Telemann evokes memories of his encounters with Polish and Hanak folk music during his time as court Kapellmeister in Sorau. Even decades later, he still raved about the ‘truly barbaric beauty’ of this music. Full score (44 pp.) and parts.
